Good to know in Madrid
MAD (Barajas) → Puerta del Sol: ~15 km, 25-40 minutes
The one thing to get right at Barajas is the terminal: T1, T2 and T3 sit together, but T4 and its satellite T4S are on a physically separate site connected by shuttle bus. Send us the terminal on your ticket in advance so your chauffeur comes straight there — meeting at the wrong one costs half an hour in Madrid. Access to the city-centre low-emission zone (ZBE) is restricted; we use permitted vehicles for hotels inside it. The city applies a fixed taxi tariff between the airport and the centre, which is a reasonable option if you travel light.

How long is the transfer from Adolfo Suárez Barajas (MAD) to central Madrid?
MAD (Barajas) → Puerta del Sol: ~15 km, 25-40 minutes. That covers normal traffic; it stretches during the morning and evening peaks. We take your flight number, so the chauffeur is in position for the actual landing time and waits against the updated time if you are delayed.
Do you run day transfers from Madrid to Toledo and Segovia?
Yes — they are Madrid's two most requested day trips. Toledo is about 75 km and an hour; Segovia about 90 km and 1–1.5 hours. Both historic centres are hilly and partly closed to traffic, so we drop you at the nearest point a car can reach. If you want the chauffeur to wait all day, hourly hire is the cheaper arrangement.
Is a private car from Madrid to Barcelona a good idea?
The honest answer is usually no. It is about 620 km and more than 6 hours of driving, while the high-speed train covers it in 2.5–3 hours and a flight in less. We do run the transfer, but we would only recommend it if you plan stops such as Zaragoza, travel in a large group, or carry luggage a flight won't take.
Where will the chauffeur meet me in Madrid?
Your chauffeur waits in the Adolfo Suárez Barajas (MAD) arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. You meet right where you come out of baggage reclaim — no car park to find and nobody to track down by phone. At airports with several terminals we take your flight number in advance to fix the right spot.
Can I request a child seat for a Madrid transfer?
Yes. Tell us when you book, along with your child's age, and the infant or child seat is fitted in advance. Across most of Europe an appropriate seat is a legal requirement below a certain age and height, which is why we prefer to have this detail from the start.
